Hamlet

Written between 1599 and 1601, Hamlet, is one of William Shakespeare’s most influential and recognizable works in world literature. During Shakespeare’s lifetime it was one of his most popular plays, and to this day remains one of his top performing plays across the globe. As the story unfolds, Shakespeare leads us through themes of madness, revenge and the meaning of life and death.

Set in Denmark, a young prince Hamlet is visited by his late father’s ghost in the middle of the night. The ghost of the former King of Denmark accuses his brother, Claudius, of killing him in order to seize the throne and his wife. Hamlet devises a plot to reveal the truth and avenge his father’s death. Meanwhile, Claudius has a plan of his own.
