The Pilgrim's Progress

Believed to be one of the first novels written in the English language, The Pilgrim’s Progress is a 1678 Christian allegory written by John Bunyan. Today, it is considered to be one of the most important works of religious theological fiction and is available in over 200 languages. The story is about a man’s trials and temptations as he embarks on a journey of salvation to the Celestial City.

Along a path filled with monsters and spiritual terrors, Christian encounters characters such as Worldly Wiseman, Giant Despair, Talkative, Ignorance, and the demons of the Valley of the Shadow of Death. He is also joined by companions Hopeful and Faithful. As an incredibly influential and entertaining 17th-century classic,
